About Me
“Welcome home!” I called to my kids when they walked in the door after school or practice. First stop was the kitchen to grab some food. I wish you could join me in the kitchen. I’d pour a glass of lemonade and ask about your day.
I was born on the east coast and married a man from the west coast. Our five children were born in the heartland–in the city where I was raised. They are adults or transitioning adults now, chasing their dreams in places where I am not. I’m always planning the next time we will be together.
I am a new grandmother and a daughter of a former professor who struggles with Parkinson’s Disease. They call it the sandwich generation and the metaphor makes sense.
I center myself with time alone for walks, journaling, talks with friends and scripture study.
As an event producer for women of faith, I traveled throughout the United States. Our mission was to share light. I met inspiring people and loved seeing life from their vistas.
Often a word spoken evokes a song for me. Amy Grant sings one of my favorites which includes a verse from Psalm 119, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”
I am a light seeker and hope you will join me on the journey.
